FP House

2010 Bologna, Italy

Interior design

The project has its origins in a typical example of 1960’s suburban development. This unassuming house, originally designed with ungenerous living spaces and commonplace aesthetics whose only positive feature is its location at the of a hill overlooking Bologna with fabulous views of the surrounding landscape, was given a radical architectural transformation. The new minimalist approach included all new mechanical systems and hi-tech updates, re-designed floor plan, improved functional layout, and a comprehensive landscaping design including large leisure areas and swimming pool, parking spaces and complementary services to the house.
